PlanSight is an AI-assisted pre-submission review tool. It analyzes plan sets, construction documents, and site photographs to surface possible code-compliance issues, missing information, and quality concerns.

It is NOT a substitute for review by a licensed architect, engineer, or other design professional, and it is NOT a substitute for the official plan check performed by your local building department or authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). The AHJ is the only authority that approves your plans. A clean PlanSight review does not mean your plans will be approved, and findings PlanSight raises may not reflect how your AHJ applies its codes.

You are responsible for verifying everything

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all documents, plans, photographs, and data you upload, and for independently verifying ALL findings, recommendations, and analyses before acting on them.

AI can be wrong. It may miss real issues (false negatives), raise issues that are not actually problems (false positives), misread drawings, or apply the wrong or an outdated code edition. Confidence scores and citations are aids to your own judgment, not guarantees.

No warranty

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or that it will identify every issue in your plans.

We are not responsible for your project outcomes

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlanSight and its affiliates are not liable for any building, construction, design, permitting, or compliance issue, nor for any permit denial or delay, correction cycle, code violation, construction defect, property damage, personal injury, cost, expense, fine, or other loss arising from or relating to your plans, your project, or your use of (or reliance on) the Service — whether or not PlanSight identified, or failed to identify, the issue.

Nothing produced by the Service is legal, engineering, architectural, or other professional advice. Decisions about your project remain yours and your licensed professionals’.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data.
